A Tribute to Maurice Sendak

My favorite children's illustrator has passed away.  Maurice Sendak died today.  While he is best known for his book "Where the Wild Things Are," I knew him best as the man who illustrated my FAVORITE childhood book:  A Kiss for Little Bear.

As a general rule, I am not very attached to books…never really have been.  I'm definitely not like many homeschool moms who dream of a home filled with bookcases from floor to ceiling.  But we always had books around when I was growing up and had plenty of books for our children to read until we purged 95% of what we owned to begin our travel lifestyle.

Happy ThanksGIVING!

Thanksgiving sneaked up on me this year.  Must have something to do with the lack of commercials and marketing in stores to remind me.  Funny how, when you take away all of those influences, coupled with a lack of fall weather (at least "fall weather" we're used to), holidays seem to jump at you when you don't expect them.

This year, our family is thankful for many different things than we normal are.  We're thankful for an opportunity to live out a dream…thankful for semi-sweet chocolate chips, even if they are about $4.50-5.00 a bag.

Create Your 1st Info Product with Ease!

Yesterday was one of those days you hope to never repeat.  My littlest princess and I were going to San Jose, Costa Rica to look into some paperwork and everything took SO much longer than expected.  The government officials seemed to make everything MUCH more complicated than it needed to be.  We spent too much time just searching for what we needed and, in the end, we spent money we didn't need to spend and came home tired and frustrated.  (Well, she didn't, but I sure did!)

There’s no time for excuses

A while back, I asked a bunch of you (blog readers and Facebook friends) to tell me a bit about the struggles and challenges you have in regards to starting an online business.  What I discovered is that the choices are OVERWHELMING when it comes to the what or how or even why to start a business online.

Dream BIG and Expect Results

If you're not following along with my craziness on Facebook, you may not know that our family has a HUGE announcement.  Not "huge" like a new baby is a huge announcement, but a pretty big one.

Our family of 7 has undertaken what most people would consider an impossible notion.  Many likely think we're out of our minds.  Some would love to do the same, but think they can't.

So what is it?

We have realized a long time dream and have moved to another country…Costa Rica!

Betcha weren't ready for that, were ya?
