Homeschooling Ideas for Christmas

"It's going to be DIFFERENT this year!"

It's something I often muttered or even shouted to myself every year.  I want the focus of the holidays to be Christ-centered, not gift-centered.  But the days and weeks leading up to December 25th all pretty much looked the same.

Rushing through stores crowded with holiday shoppers filling their carts with toys their kids don't really want and REALLY don't need.  (I know kids don't need much because we have 3 children – 8, 6 and 3 yrs old – and ALL of their toys combined fit into a 20" suitcase.)  I scramble to try to get some Christmas cards sent out, but end up just doing some at the last minute.

Top 5 Ways I Save Time Homeschooling

If there's one thing we can always spend recklessly and never get back, it is our time.  As a parent, doesn't it seem like just YESTERDAY that you held that teen as a newborn in your arms OR does it seem like just last week when you got the call that the adoption papers were finalized?  Gosh, if I spend too much time dwelling on how fast the years have gone, I'll end up a basket case!

Time is SO precious, yet it is something we handle very lightly, losing minutes here and there.  So, I thought about some ways I try to save time homeschooling.

Serious couponing in action

I know it seems odd for a homeschool mom to be posting about her grocery shopping, but I just HAD to…just HAD to.

I will admit that to prepare for this BIG shopping trip, it took me a good 2 hours, but mostly because my original list was terrible and didn't include everything I wanted to get on this trip.  But when all was said and done, I walked away amazed with a trunk full of food…although, do you really call the back part of a minivan a trunk?  Not sure about that one.

Serious about couponing

If you've been following some of my recent posts on Facebook, you know that I've gotten into couponing in a SERIOUS way.

So serious that people have been asking me to teach them how I coupon.

I actually started documenting my process in early December, but with the holidays, traveling, 10 days dealing with the flu (and it seems to be claiming it's last victim…my hubby!), everything I'd been doing had been on the back burner.  Until this past weekend.

Are you ready to “go to market”?

Before you launch or even start the process of getting a product or service put together, do you KNOW with almost 100% certainty that there is an audience for it?  If you have any doubts, I invite you to join me on a call I am doing THIS THURSDAY at 9:15pm Eastern on market research for product creation.

Sign up is free and there WILL be a recording, but you have to register to get it.  You can sign up at www.mrshomeschool.com/createaproduct/
