Homeschool Photo of the Day FUN!
ATTENTION: Tomorrow, Friday Feb 3rd, I am conducting a little experiment called "Your Homeschool Photo of the Day."
It's SUPER easy to participate. Simply take a photo (just one) of something that happens tomorrow. Could be the kids doing school, you making lunch, dance class, sitting in the car, snuggling on the sofa, anything "G" rated.
Then, upload it here on this Facebook page (or your own and link to the Mrs Homeschool Facebook page) or send it to my email (support-at-mrshomeschool-dot-com). I'll compile all the pics into a neat blog post for all to see. And if you have a website, I'll even post a link to it…and you can link back to mine, if you like. Get your cameras ready!
Need some GREAT handwriting help?
Normally, I don't like to post promotional stuff back to back. (Thanks to all who participated in the Year End Sale!) But this time, it's for a GREAT cause.
The folks at LightHome Publications are having a big sale that ends Wednesday at midnight. (Notice how all these sales end at midnight? We're all night owls! he he he)
Anyway, they have all their penmanship or handwriting products for super cheap…like under $5 cheap! You can see what they have to offer here:
2011 Year End Blow Out Sale!
As 2011 comes to a close, I've decided to take the Mrs. Homeschool Store in a new direction. In 2012, I'm going to focus more on courses instead of individual products, hoping that these courses will be more beneficial for YOU to get the results you wanted when initially purchasing products.
So…
I'm clearing out my virtual shelves and selling all the products I currently have available at an insanely low price. And if you already have a business going, this is a great way to get some really good products that you can claim on your business taxes as expenses. (Now, please note I am NOT an accountant, so you will need to verify whether these courses qualify as valid deductions for your state or business.)
Merry Christmas!
From our family to yours, we wish you a VERY Merry Christmas and a Happy 2012!
Can you believe that a new year is only a week away?
This time last year, our family had NO idea we'd be where we are, both physically and spiritually.
God has given us so many experiences to make us grow this year, not in faith (because our faith is from Him and is constant), but in our knowledge and TRUST in Him.
Homeschooling Ideas for Christmas
"It's going to be DIFFERENT this year!"
It's something I often muttered or even shouted to myself every year. I want the focus of the holidays to be Christ-centered, not gift-centered. But the days and weeks leading up to December 25th all pretty much looked the same.
Rushing through stores crowded with holiday shoppers filling their carts with toys their kids don't really want and REALLY don't need. (I know kids don't need much because we have 3 children – 8, 6 and 3 yrs old – and ALL of their toys combined fit into a 20" suitcase.) I scramble to try to get some Christmas cards sent out, but end up just doing some at the last minute.
